Manager, Tanaya Harper

Matt has worked as a label manager and publicist for Qstik Records. During that time Matt assisted in managing The Panda Band, aiding in publicity and the release of their debut EP and album. In 2003 he also commenced managing Superengine during which time they released their debut EP and album, which featured the triple j rotated track “Intermittent Lies”. In 2006 Matt began co-managing New Rules For Boats with Scott until their hiatus in 2008. In 2009 he started up a new record label/music business Walking Horse with
business partner Gareth Andersen. At Walking Horse Matt acts as label manager, as well as artist manager for WAM nominated and winning acts The Love Junkies, Downsyde, BOAT SHOW and Dream Rimmy. Since 2008 he has lectured at North Metropolitan TAFE (formerly Central TAFE) in the Diploma Music Business Courses on a casual basis. Matt has coordinated many national tours for the artists he represents, showcases at Big Sound, SXSW, Music Matters and Canadian Music Week.

Tanaya Harper

Tanaya Harper's first collection of solo material, 2018’s EP “Some Kinds”, was released by label Healthy Tapes and was nominated for a WA Music Award for best EP and was local feature on RTRFM with its single “Graceless” being the station’s second most played track of the year.

After stepping into the studio with Dave Parkin (Jebediah, Spacey Jane, Gyroscope), Tanaya and her band released and launched the EP “Slow Motion Breakup”. The EPs singles were spun on radio around Australia including jjj, FBi (Sydney) and RTRFM (Perth). Harper went on to be nominated for Best EP, Best Vocalist and Most Popular Act at the 2020 WA Music Awards.

In November 2020, she released “Emma”, followed by “Bad Faith” in June 2021, the first singles of her latest release, the EP “Montreal” for due in September 2021. Also recorded with Dave Parkin, this release sees Harper continue the themes of “Slow Motion Breakup” but with even more lush sounding arrangements.
